Terms of service
These terms cover your use of Ask Daniel Brain, a free ChatGPT plugin that answers questions about my work. By using it you agree to them.
The service
The plugin is free and needs no account. It gives ChatGPT access to my resume, posts, talks, patents, press coverage and open-source READMEs, lets you browse them, prepare briefings, get notified of my updates and send me a message. I may change, pause or stop the plugin at any time.
Answers can be wrong
ChatGPT writes the answers, and it can make mistakes, including about me. The plugin cites its sources so you can check them. Everything is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind, and to the extent the law allows I am not liable for decisions you make based on it.
Content
My posts, talk transcripts, code and other material remain mine, under the licenses they were published with (open-source code keeps its own license). Press articles belong to their publishers; the plugin summarises and links to them, and some appear as the publisher's own web page. Drafts written “in my voice” are ChatGPT's, not mine, and should not be presented as something I wrote or said.
Messages to me
Use “Message Daniel” for genuine messages. Don't send spam, harassment, unlawful content or automated messages, and don't use it to get around its daily limits. I may not reply to every message, and I may block abuse.
Privacy
How the plugin handles personal data is described in the privacy policy.
